D17A2 in a WHAT?!

The cat is out of the bag!

The newest One6 Motorsports engine test is underway. We’ve always had fun playing with unpopular engines and setups. Which is why we have chosen to swap a D17A2 engine (01-05 civic base engine) into our shop EG Hatch (The 8th Gen Si is unrelated to this project).

The D17 has always been a hated on engine due to many factors: OBD2, coil on plug, lack of engine management options, SOHC, bad flow, low power, etc…So we’re going to see if we can address these issues AND make this engine work in our EG hatch running on a conventional form of engine management.
We have a few tricks up our sleeve with this build ;)
