This Will Be a World's FIRST!

This Will Be a World's FIRST!

There is a new project underway at One6 Motorsports. This one is going to be another "World's First" engine swap, and we promise it is going to leave you scratching your head.

Before we get into the details of the swap, we need to give you some backstory on Mark's Teal EG.

Mark bought this car in 2006 and since then has had many flavors of Honda engine in the bay: D15B, JDM GSR, JDM Type-R, K20A Type-R, JDM B20.

However, the most notable ones have been an H22 Euro-R engine that made 224whp and went 11.70 in the 1/4, a JDM B20V that made 236whp and went 11.70, and lastly, a basic K24/K20 engine that made 279whp and went 10.939 @124mph thanks to @mikeyspec's tuning!

Yes. That is a legitimate 10 second pass with a car that makes under 300whp. It was a K24 block from an 06' TSX with NPR Type-R pistons (87.5mm). Everything else in the bottom end was stock (rods, crank, stroke, everything). The head was a JDM K20A Type-R Head with 06' TSX cams. Everything else in the head was stock as it came in the K20A. And we can't forget about the trans which was a stock K20A Type-R Transmission (stock diff, stock gearing).

Before the dual throttle bodies came into existence, the car was running a stock RBC with a 70mm throttle body. No porting or anything like that. First pass, the car went 11.50 at Great Lakes Dragaway. Then Mark created the dual throttle body setup and the car went 11.0. Finally after switching to E85, installing a K-Tuned big tube header, and retuning the car, it cracked off a couple 10.90 passes.

So now what? Well... It's time for a new swap. It's something else that has never been seen before. Is it optimal? We're not sure, but we are excited to find out.
