Description:
We take an Ultra Style 2 piece intake manifold and give it the full Valex Racing treatment to transform it from a bit of a hot mess into a seriously nice intake manifold that makes some efficient power (and looks nice too).
Out of the box, these manifolds have some serious casting problems (see pictures).
To address this, we first disassemble the whole thing and get rid of the paper gaskets all together. We then fully port and polish the runners. The cylinder head side gets cleaned up and each runner gets fully ported and polished. The plenum side gets an aggressive port and polish to maximize airflow. Then we move out to the the throttle body opening. The factory casting is a smaller opening than most aftermarket throttle bodies so we open it up to 74mm, smooth it out, and polish it for cleaner airflow into the plenum. We also port match the drive by wire throttle body adapter to the 74mm throttle body opening. You can run a smaller throttle body than 74mm and you will still experience the improvement in airflow. The cherry on top is that we include a full Valex Racing reusable thermal gasket kit to replace those cheap paper gaskets.
All the porting, polishing and gasket kit would normally cost around $400, but in this kit, we are including all that for free.
