This manifold flange and throttle body bolt pattern is based on the 02-06 RSX pattern. Also known as the PRB manifold.
Description:
We take an Ultra Style 2 piece intake manifold and give it the full Valex Racing treatment to transform it from a bit of a hot mess into a seriously nice intake manifold that makes some efficient power (and looks nice too). Then we pair it with a Skunk2 Alpha 70mm Throttle Body Kit for your convenience.
Out of the box, these manifolds have some serious casting problems (see pictures).
To address this, we first disassemble the whole thing and get rid of the paper gaskets all together. We then fully port and polish the runners. The cylinder head side gets cleaned up and each runner gets fully ported and polished. The plenum side gets an aggressive port an polish to maximize airflow. Then we move out to the the throttle body opening. The factory casting is a smaller opening than most aftermarket throttle bodies so we open it up to 74mm, smooth it out, and polish it for cleaner airflow into the plenum. The Skunk2 70mm throttle body is still a perfect match for this manifold setup because it is much more streetable than the 74mm, and will still benefit from the larger opening. Also, if you ever want to upgrade to a 74mm throttle body, your manifold will be ready for it. The cherry on top is that we include a full Valex Racing reusable thermal gasket kit to replace those cheap paper gaskets.
All the porting, polishing and gasket kit would normally cost around $400, but in this kit, we are including all that for free.
